The Department of English at Bowdoin takes a broad and varied approach to the study of Anglophone literature across a range of periods and genres, including African American, Asian American, Indigenous, Latinx, multiethnic American, and global literature. Students may also choose from creative writing courses in poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and screenwriting.
